Fall is a very busy yet exciting time of the year for Theta chapter. Recruitment Camp, for current Gamma Phi Beta sisters, is held the week before classes begin with the welcoming of the new DU freshmen class by helping them move into the dorms! Formal Recruitment begins with House Tours on September 23, 2010 and will conclude with Bid Night on September 27, 2010.
Going through the recruitment process is a great way to meet new people and get connected on campus, helping to make the college transition much easier. The sisters of Gamma Phi Beta look forward to meeting you and hope to help make your fall quarter at DU the best one! We encourage you to consider becoming part of the Greek Community, where you can find fun social events, service opportunities, leadership experience, and best of all, friendships for a lifetime!
Recruitment is an extremely important part of Gamma Phi Beta because it allows our Sorority to grow and continue to benefit women in all of our chapters. We want women who care about sisterhood, scholarship, community service, and dedication to the true meaning of our Sorority. We are looking for women who are interested in holding themselves to a higher level of womanhood. As is listed on the Gamma Phi Beta website, "As a sorority, we value:
►Long term planning to generate and steward the resources necessary to fulfill our mission
►Moral and ethical integrity in all aspects of life
►Consistent, clear and timely communication
►Our tradition of excellence, history and ritual
►Long term involvement and lifetime commitment
►Active participation and leadership in NPC
►Academic excellence and leadership development
►Sisterhood"
Each year, Theta chapter participates in formal recruitment with the four other panhellenic sororities on the University of Denver campus. The formal recruitment process begins after fall quarter begins and typically lasts Thursday-Sunday followed by Bid Night the next Monday. For more information about this process and how to sign up, please see the University of Denver Greek Life website http://www.du.edu/orgs/greeklife/prospective/recruitment.html
Theta chapter is excited to participate in formal recruitment this September! We cannot wait to welcome our 2010 newmember class! If you have any questions or would like to recommend a woman to our chapter please contact our Membership Vice President, Jenny Bronge at jbronge@du.edu. Or, send completed reference forms to:
