Financial Committments

Being in financial good standing is an important aspect of membership within Gamma Phi Beta.

Each year, Theta chapter's House Corporation Board assesses the fees that the chapter will charge for room and board to live in the chapter house.  Final and current room and board costs will be explained during the formal recruitment process in the fall.  However, certain portions of costs to members remain the same every year.  For example, Theta chapter charges $200 per quarter for membership dues.  These dues help provide sisters with educational programming, sisterhood events, social events, and to host philanthropies.  Additionally, Gamma Phi Betas must pay $50 per quarter for International dues.  International dues support "Leadership and training programs such as: Regional Leadership Conferences (RLCs), Leadership Development Institute (LDI), Convention and Collegiate Leadership Consultant (CLC) program, colonizing, installing and supporting collegiate and alumnae chapters, The Crescent magazine, Sisterlink- Gamma Phi Beta’s Global Resource Network, as well as technological advances, database development and the Gamma Phi Beta Web site." (From the Gamma Phi Beta International website)

Theta Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta as well as the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation provide scholarships to help compensate for members' financial obligations.  We understand how quickly dues, tuition, and living costs can add up and want to provide assistance for members as much as possible.  Our chapter also offers payment plans to help women remain in financial good standing while being able to pay dues over a longer period of time.  Our financial vice president, president, chapter advisor, and House Corporation Board work hard to provide reasonable membership costs and ways for members to remain financially current.
